Guild Rules

ED and WoW

ED has gone through numerous changes since WOW and we have been around since Vanilla. A lot of these rules will seem like common sense but sometimes that is lost in moments. So I encourage you to go over these.

They are very simple and not my usual wall of texts you are accustomed to.

When you join ED we encourage you to know the people better. Some people may seem obnoxious others may seem very down to earth. This is what makes us great. We can take a lot of different personalities and succeed when we put our minds to it.

We expect all players in the guild to be actively involved in WoW. This does not mean you have to eat, breathe and sleep WoW, however it does mean that we expect to see you online regularly.

·          Any new applicants who are inactive for more than two weeks will be removed

·         Full members who are inactive for more than four weeks will be marked inactive dkp will be frozen and your raid signups will be subject to the raid leaders ability to count on you showing up

·         If you wish to go on leave or take a break from wow. We do not stop you at any point. Just post a small thread in the Vacations section and all is good. This way we know where we stand in terms of our roster and what ranks we need to fill in case we are short

If you are removed from the guild for being inactive without a post you will have to reapply to the guild.

Disruptive Behavior

Excessive complaining, non-constructive criticism, arguing within the guild, cursing in Guild Chat or private tells, etc., will result in removal from the guild. This does not mean that members can never complain, criticize or argue. The keyword here is ‚"excessive," meaning that it reaches the point where it affects guild cohesiveness. Any member of the Guild has to right to POLITELY state in GC or private tell that someone's behavior, language or conduct is offensive; the notification must be polite, to the point, and include a request for the behavior to stop. If the behavior worsens or continues after the first posting/notification, the offended guild member should either ignore the person causing the problem or refer the issue to a Guild Officer. If you feel the officer hasn’t solved your issue please raise it with the guild leader Stryfe or Thuul incase I’m not present. One of us will make sure the issue is solved. If you never approach us chances are the issue is not going to magically appear to us.

Any guild member that repeatedly engages in such disruptive behavior will receive a cautionary warning. If that behavior continues, they will be booted from the guild.

Bad mouthing any member or the guild itself in guild chat, on the forums, or by whisper is forbidden. If you have a complaint, take it first to that player or, if you feel it is serious enough, directly to Guild leadership. Part of the responsibility of the leadership is to help resolve issues and disagreements. It is easy to misunderstand tells and intention, so if the problem is not a blatant insult, first try to resolve your concern with the other player.

Petty arguments and disagreements will not be tolerated.

Although the majority of our Guild consists of adults, we do have some younger players. Certain topics are not appropriate for younger players and may also offend the adults in our Guild. A little flirting in Vent or Guild Chat is acceptable.

Alts

You are not entitled to have an alternate toon invited to the Guild until you are a full member of the guild. Alternate toon's are not allowed to raid, except at the invitation of the raid leader(see below) No dual-boxing is allowed. Each person may only play one character in a Guild raid.

Main characters have priority in 25 raid lists, DKP bidding, Guild bank resources, etc. Raid Leaders have the right to invite alternate toon's to any raid to ensure success of said raid; in that case any DKP earned will automatically be rewarded to the alt's main toon. Alts that are frequently invited due to lack of certain class roles are treated as mains and they can bid against other mains.

Vent Usage

All members will have a vent account to be able to use vent. There is a guest account with a global password to use for PuG raids so that non-guild members can login to our vent. The password can be found in the guild info tab.

Donations; If you donate to the guilds vent server, a channel will be made available to you. You can name it, and password it if you wish.

Officers

The members will respect the decisions of the Officers. There is nothing more destructive to an organization then openly attacking the leadership. Officers‚ orders must be followed to maintain order within the guild and during guild events. If you have a problem with an officer, please send a complaint to the Guild Leader so that he may investigate the issue.

The Guild Leader and Officers will respect the opinions of the members at all times. Everyone comes from different backgrounds and experiences and has something to offer. Guild members (including leadership) will treat each other with respect and be professional at all times.

Disciplinary Action

All Members will abide by Blizzards End User License Agreement (EULA). If you are found in gross violation of the rules set forth by the EULA, all your characters will be removed from the Guild, you will be permanently banned from Guild membership and an Officer will formally report the violation to a GM.

Any Guild Member that engages in gross violation of these Guild Rules will receive a cautionary warning first. If that behavior continues, they will be booted from the raid or even guild. Severe or repeated violations will result in permanent bans.
