Raiding/DKP Rules
Raids (Only applies to 25 man raids)
The primary aim of the guild is to have Fun, cause some mayhem in the BGs. Please try to remember this before you get caught up in XP, reputation or loot worries. Panicking about not getting a group, complaining about not running a raid the way your old guild did it, refusing to cooperate with other Guild members, among or a myriad of other things can spoil both your enjoyment and that of others.
Events are aimed at everyone having fun. Raids are often for the good of the Guild, not the good of individual Guild members. Enjoyment should be your number one priority. As a Member you are encouraged to attend as many raids as possible. We do have an attendance policy and it is looked upon by the raid leader when he is selecting people for raids.
Raid invites will start at 1:30pm server time and first pull will be at 1:45pm. If you are confirmed for the said raid you are expected to be ready and at the stone prior to raid start time. Otherwise, penalties may apply (see DKP section below). Standby members will invited to fill in the remaining spots 15min after invite time.
Raid Leaders have the right to add to these basic rules, but must inform the raid at least 24 hours in advance of a posted raid.
During organized Guild DKP raids please keep babble to a minimum, especially during bidding. Extra chatter makes it easy to miss this important information, and can result in loot going to the wrong person. Chatter in the Raid channel during bidding resulting in loot going to the wrong person will incur penalties.
Damage Meters and other meters are forbidden to be posted in Guild and Raid chat. Please /join EDdamage and spam to your hearts content, except for the above reasons.
Raid Etiquette
There is only one raid leader. Please let that person make the decisions for the raid. We understand that some guilds may do events differently. Saying ED is doing it wrong or trying to alter the Raid Leader's strategy in Vent or chat during the raid is unacceptable. If you have some helpful suggestions, hold off and post them in the forums for everyone to have a chance to read it. Spamming in Vent or chat only confuses Raid members and can easily cause a wipe. If needed, the Raid Leader will ask for assistance or suggestions.
Don't tell others how to play their class. We know you are just trying to be helpful, but everyone here has a pretty strong grasp on their characters and knows how to play. Things happen, mistakes are made, but telling someone how to play during the stress of fighting can really make people upset even if it wasn't your intention. It takes time to learn how to play well and each Raid has a different dynamic. Give your Guildmates the chance to learn and grow without criticizing them, especially on events on which they are new to.
Be Prepared! If you signed up for a raid, you should already know if you are going to need specific potions, food buffs or mana and health potions. Read raid strategies before attending each raid. Each class forum should have a list of what you should bring to a raid. Do not show up expecting a fish feast to be dropped everytime. If one is isn’t dropped use your own food.
If you aren't doing something to contribute to the necessary raid supplies, you need to stop and consider why you are here in the first place. Don't be a burden to the guild or the raid; participate and be prepared. If you are not sure what you can do to help the Guild or your class prepare for a raid, ask your class-role leader.
Irrelevant conversations during a boss fight are not allowed. It's okay to have jokes here and there and talk about other stuff while clearing trash but keep in mind that this is still annoying for some raiders.
Member Selection
We will do our best to have a fair rotation when it comes to selecting members. However, the following will affect how member selection works. This will have 3 main factors with low, medium and high:
- Low Factors (These will have low effects on selection decisions):
- Low gear rating compared to raid instance level.
- Leaving raid before official raid end time.
- Medium Factors (These will have medium effects on selection decisions):
- Having a poor PvE spec. PvP spec means you'll be kicked out of the raid immediately.
- Not logging into Vent.
- High Factors (These will have high effects on selection decisions):
- Not having all the required mods for raiding (See below for required mods).
- % of not showing up when having a confirmed spot on calendar (Without giving an early notice to RL).
- Not reading strategies before raids.
- Not listening to RL instructions.
- Doing the same mistakes repeatedly.
- Not coming prepared for raids (Food buff+Elixirs/Flasks)
Required Addons
These Addons are a must to have if you want to raid:
- Deadly Boss Mods -or- BigWigs Bossmods
- Omen Threat Meter
- Decursive (If your class can decurse)
- oRA2 -or- CT Raid (Download Basic only if you don't want additional stuff)
DKP Rules
Below is the rule set for DKP 25 Man Raid Instances when raiding as a part of European Devils.
How this will work:
1. DKP earned during the raid will amount to 2DKP per hour spent after first pull with an additional 1 DKP given for each boss mob killed. Any kill of a "new" boss will result in an additional 5DKP for the raid members at that kill. "New" is defined as a first kill for the European Devils.
2. BOE items that are not bid on during the raid will go to the guild bank.
3. Any item dropped on a raid that is not considered a material component will have the minimum bid of 5DKP. If no one wishes to bid on this item at 5DKP, it is open to raiders who might not have 5DKP currently. At this point, the item will be charged to whomever desires it for 5DKP. If there are multiple players desire the item and each has equal points and the desire to spend them, a /random 100 roll will ensue with the winner being charged 5DKP and having the item awarded to them.
4. There is only one acceptable negative bid. What this is a situation described in #5. If a person has 3DKP and is awarded an item, he will be charged 5DKP and his points will now sit at -2DKP until further boss/hour DKP is awarded to him.
5. All bids will increase in increments of 5DKP. If a player desires an item and can not bid an additional 5DKP to surpass the previous bid, he may "GO ALL IN". At this point, his total points are thrown in on the the bid. Ie., Stryfee wants Cool Boots of Uncle Bob Idol but the current bid is 90pts. Stryfee calls "ALL IN" and his point total is 94.5. If no one surpasses his bid, he will win the boots and be charged 94.5 DKP.
6. If there are no bids on a current item and it is BOP, item will be disenchanted and considered material to be distributed to the guild bank at the end of the raid.
7. DKP earned during the current raid will be reflected in your point totals at the end of the raid. Your DKP at the raid start time is what you will have available to bid with until the next raid. Points are only tabulated at the end of the raid and the boards will reflect that change within 12-24hrs of the end of the raid.
8. Patterns/Recipes/Formulas/Schematics/(PRFS); A PRFS that drops during a raid will be bid upon by using DKP rules for bidding. A PRFS that would give the crafter a BOP item that is class specific will only be rolled on by that class. I.e. the pattern [Boots of Uberness] drops during a raid, the pattern is a BOE tailoring pattern that gives the crafter a BOP cloth pair of boots with healing stats. This would only be rolled upon by Priests as they would be the only ones to use the item for any great length of time as opposed to a resto Shaman that would only wear them till he/she got a mail pair of healing boots.
9. Tier Set Tokens: First stage; bidding is restricted to guild members that currently do *not* have the item in any fashion. Those who have *never* received the tier token up for bidding will be able to bid. Second stage; If there are no bids in the first stage, bidding will be opened for anyone that already has received one of the tokens and would like to bid for a second token for use on a second set of gear or to turn in for a pvp item.
10. If you find an error in your DKP you have until 1 hour prior to raid invites to bring it up so that it can be fixed, after invites start it's "Sorry Charlie" you're stuck with what's posted.
DKP Decay
To prevent dkp hoarding, dkp will decay each month according to the following decay table:
- 0-50 5% dkp
- 51-100 10% dkp
- 101-150 15% dkp
- 151-200 20% dkp
- 201-250 25% dkp
- 250+ 45% dkp
This is a tiered decay table. To explain it a bit, member X has a total of 61DKP. A 5% decay will be applied on the first 50 and a 10% decay will apply on the second 50 (which is 11DKP):
50 * 0.05 = 2.5DKP
11 * 0.10 = 1.1DKP
2.5 + 1.1 = 3.6 = 4DKP
Member X will lose 4DKP as decay.
The decay will be multiplied by 6 if the member has low raid attendance according to the following:
If you have 0% attendance in the past 30 days AND less than 50% attendance in the past 60 days
-or-
If you have more than 0% attendance in the past 30 days AND less than 25% attendance in the past 60 days
then your monthly DKP decay tier value getsmultiplied by 6.
Regarding LOOT for Classes
Typically we assign loot for classes it was meant for. On rare occasions will we allow a class to bid for an item which can benefit them.
For examples boomkins bidding on cloth gear. This will happen if the said item is best in slot and no other clothy is interested or only an off spec clothy is willing to bid. Then it will be bid on as normal. If the clothy is found overbidding just to spend someone else’s dkp. Your dkp will be used towards that item. So please think before you bid.
The same rule applies for leather, plate and mail wearers. Before you bid on an item which might be useful till the next item drop consider the main class. Could they get anything else if not then just pass. Loot will always drop and I really don’t want to have arguments over this.
Bonus DKP
On some nights when we can’t make the raid. Bonus dkp will be given by the raid leader for all those who signed up and showed up.
On progression nights when we are spending 3 hours wiping on a boss we will consider that and award extra dkp.
This is a bonus not a guaranteed source so don’t hold us when we don’t award it some nights. Raid performance etc all account for it.
But Stryfee I did my best it’s not my fault etc doesn’t cut it either. We either succeed as a team or fail as one. One person doesn’t make a difference.
10 MAN Runs
Regarding 10 man runs I leave the loot rules purely to the raid leader. If the raid leader makes an unfair call please let me know and we will have a word with him to explain both sides of the story.
Prior to starting 10 man runs please ask what the loot rules are. If an alt has the same preference according to the raid leader then that is his choice. If you are unhappy with those rules speak to him or me.
